40 stall stable – divided into 2 wings with capability to separate into different operations – one side with 2 bonus extra-large foaling stalls, other side with 4-stall, completely contained quarantine/biohazard area. Total building area 45,606 square feet.
Attached riding arena with 85’ span scissor truss – insulated and lined for year-round rider comfort without supplemental heat. Bright design with large gable curtain window.
Architectural features include a barrel-vaulted ceiling in stable corridors, entrance lobby and viewing lounge. Natural stone accents at exterior entrances, interior aisle intersections, wash / groom stalls, and as a floor-to-ceiling feature in reception lobby.
Custom solid wood doors with traditionally fabricated hinges throughout. Interior sliders, including 13’ wide sliding panels that operate with ease while leading a horse.
Building designed in compartments for efficient heat, ventilation and day-to-day farm functions. Abundant storage for feed and supplies, laundry and cleaning, offices for record keeping.
Board and Batten exterior cladding in bold red on central 2-storey office section, with remainder of building clad in steel for low maintenance and durability.
Geothermal system for heating and cooling assists to keep operating costs to a minimum. High-efficiency LED lighting throughout the entire building. Complete back-up generator system for safety functions and operation.
Fire protection is a major feature of the design, with the second-floor office area having a complete 4hr fire-separation achieved with concrete block fire-wall, fuse-activated fire shutters, pressurized sprinkler system, and ceiling-mounted automatic fire extinguishers.
