MOL Alert: Unguarded Rotating Trolley Track Hoist Drums
The Ontario Ministry of Labour (MOL) has issued a safety alert with regard to unguarded Rotating Trolley Track Hoist Drums.
Workers have been injured while operating portable trolley track hoists. This hazard alert is intended to help raise awareness of the hazard on trolley track hoists that do not have a fixed guard or barrier to prevent a worker from exposure to either the rotating hoist drum or the pinch point between the drum and the cable.
